Training & Certification PMI-Management Ready

COURSE DESCRIPTION

PMI Project Management Ready™ is a one-semester certification program for teachers pioneering project management-specific courses or instructors teaching other career and tech ed classes who want to equip students with foundational skills in project management. With this certification, students will be prepared for entry-level jobs such as project coordinator, event planner, and project team member and be on the pathway to further certification from the Project Management Institute^® (PMI).

Integrating the PMI Project Management Ready learning resources and certification into the classroom helps students gain a credential in project management and prepare them for their next step in education or a career.

Through global advocacy, collaboration, education and research, they work to prepare more than three million professionals around the world for The Project Economy: the coming economy in which work and individuals are organized around projects.

Candidates for this certification will be expected to have key conceptual knowledge and principles of project management through at least 150 hours of instruction.

The exam will test candidates’ knowledge on:

• Fundamental project management concepts
• The role of ethics and leadership in project management
• Predictive (traditional) project management approach
• Adaptive (agile) project management approach
• Basic computer literacy skills

PMI Project Management Ready gives students exposure to the concepts and field of project management and the tools to apply this knowledge to a wide range of career paths
